Closing Arguements Made in Paul Shanley Child Abuse TrialThe media circus made a stop in Cambridge, MA Thursday when leading pedophile apologist Elizabeth Loftus was called as defrocked Catholic priest Paul Shanley’s only defense witness, (http://www.boston.com, http://www.courttv.com) after the judge denied a defense motion to dismiss the case. A 42-year-old man accused of sex with a 13-year-old girl will receive a 90-day sentence because the girl’s mother knew of the relationship. http://www.dailymail.com If the mother does any jail time at all, she will be entitled to work release, according to a plea agreement worked out last week. The original charges could have put the mother in jail for 5 to 25 years. The man could have been in jail for 3 to 15 years. The mother refused to report the abuse as long as the man provided her with money to buy drugs.
