Sheriff's investigators denied they are the source of recent leaks to the media in the Michael Jackson child molestation case and added an investigation has been started to find who might be responsible. http://www.washingtonpost.com Prosecutors want to display erotic material seized from Michael Jackson’s bedroom that they say prove Jackson’s interest in touching young boys was sexual. http://www.dailynews.co.za Further descriptions of the material were censored by the judge, who has taken secrecy in the case so far as to black out the words “obscenity” and “pornographic” from U.S. Supreme Court rulings. http://www.signonsandiego.com The Jackson trial begins Monday with jury selection. As opening statements get under way in the criminal trial of defrocked Catholic priest Paul Shanley, http://www.kcautv.com and http://www.msmagazine.com 17 Catholic priests in the New York Diocese of Rockville Center (Long Island) were disciplined as a result of an investigation of sex abuse involving 23 priests. 8 of the 17 have been defrocked, and 9 have permanently suspended. Of the other six, three await canonical trails, two have been cleared and one case has been “deferred”. http://www.newsday.com

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has won an injunction against several pornographic spammers under the newly passed CAN-SPAM law. http://www.family.org Under the law, pornographic email must contain a warning that it is “sexually explicit”. http://www.ftc.gov
