Parents prefer abstinence
A Zogby poll released last week showed that over 90% of American parents want their children to be taught that sex should be linked to the type of love and commitment found in marriage. CLICK HERE. 68% want teens taught that individuals who remain abstinent until marriage have the best chances of marital stability and happiness.

Janet Jackson's "flash" dance
The fallout from the production of the Super Bowl halftime show (by CBS' sister network, MTV), in which Justin Timberlake tore off Janet Jackson's top, exposing her breast, has produced some back pedaling today. Justin Timberlake called it "a wardrobe malfunction" and CBS apologized for the allegedly unplanned incident. CLICK HERE Is wardrobe supposed to stay on when deliberately torn off? Was the silver pastie she sported also accidental, or was it insurance against this kind of accident? Better questions might be why anyone at CBS would let MTV produce a halftime show, and who on earth ever approved Janet Jackson as a star given the controversy currently engulfing her brother? And who would have thought that the Lingerie Bowl which caused such a headache for Dodge would be the less controversial halftime show? CLICK HERE

In other news…
The Academic Press journal, NeuroImage, the premier peer-reviewed publication featuring clinical studies on brain mapping, reports that different personalities of subjects suffering from Dissociative Identity Disorder (formerly "Multiple Personality Disorder") do indeed have different brainwave patterns. The scandal-plagued Florida Department of Children and Families may be privatized if Gov. Jeb Bush (R-FL) has his way. CLICK HERE The Governor feels non-profit organizations could do a better job, but at least one of them which has taken over in some counties has had similar problems.
