The so-called "hip hop kulture" has produced an item called
"jimmie hatz," or multi-colored condoms, specifically
designed to appeal to kids. The condoms, named "Great Dane"
and "Rottweiler," come in a cartoon covered wrapper. CLICK
HERE Recent reports, however, claim that increased condom availability
is, in part, responsible for the rapid increase in sexually transmitted
diseases among teens. Condom usage has increased most among teens.
Fewer teens are having sex, and yet STD's are sharply up among this

If you live in California, there are two important bills in the
Assembly that will get hearings Tuesday (January 13). AB 930 (Mountjoy)
would require specified medical personnel to promptly report to
a law enforcement agency or the CPS their knowledge that a minor
has contracted a sexually transmitted disease or is pregnant. It
would also require a prompt investigation and protection of the
minor from further abuse. AB 1446 (Bates and Runner) would provide
for tougher penalties for a person who commits the crime of stalking,
knowing that the victim is a minor. With the advent of the internet,
the number of persons who stalk children has increased. Contact
your member of the Assembly and the Representatives below and urge
them to SUPPORT these two bills in the Public Safety Committee!

Research reported in the Journal Science concludes that unwanted
memories can be driven from consciousness. The study claims to find
a "neurological basis for how people can actually shove something
out of mind." CLICK

A Florida music teacher has been arrested for having a sexual relationship
with a student that began when the boy was 11 years old. Authorities
had been previously tipped off something was wrong by her husband
after she admitted having sexual feelings when kissing a twelve
year old boy. Authorities had closed that case after the boy said
he hadn't felt uncomfortable. This time they were tipped off by
the boy's mother who had found suggestive text messages on the boy's
cell phone. CLICK
