The Child Protection eNewsletter
Though ToysRUs.com and Amazon.com have still not yet responded
to SAVE, they have responded to some of you. Toys R Us says: "Thank
you for contacting Toys "R" Us with your concerns regarding
products sold on Amazon.com. Toysrus.com is a strong believer in
the responsible marketing and sale of toys and related products
and we try to provide our guests with items that reflect these values.
Please note, however, that Toys "R" Us is only responsible
for those items which are sold on our site, and not those found
throughout other Amazon channels. We do understand your concern
over the products in question and have taken the liberty of forwarding
your comments to Amazon.com." Apparently Toys-R-Us just doesn't
get that these products are purchased from the "kid's book"
tab at toysrus.com.
Amazon writes, in part: "We believe that people have the right
to choose their own reading material. Our goal is to support freedom
of expression and provide customers with the broadest selection
possible so they can find, discover, and buy any title they might
be seeking. That selection includes some titles which most people,
including employees of Amazon.com, may find distasteful or otherwise
objectionable. However, Amazon.com believes it is censorship to
make a publication unavailable to our customers because we believe
its message to be repugnant." Amazon, however, does not sell
some books, Hitler's "Mein Kampf" in Germany for instance.

They have removed "The NAMBLA Bulletin" after our
previous campaign. Amazon's own policy states that they will not
sell "offensive material." Specifically, they say: "Offensive
material. What we deem offensive is probably about what you would
expect. This includes items such as crime-scene photos or human
organs and body parts. Amazon.com reserves the right to determine
the appropriateness of listings posted to our site." Is repugnant
not offensive?
Once again, we remind everyone of our ongoing boycott against Amazon.com,
and the sites that continue to sell from Amazon's inventory, including
toysrus.com. Please visit our online petition at http://www.conservativepetitions.com/petitions.php?id=246
to tell Toys-R-Us of your displeasure at what is available through
their website. Please spread the word to friends and family about
Amazon.com's links to the homosexual pedophile groups that call
themselves "the boylovers community". Be aware that Amazon
has even penetrated traditionally "pro-family" sites like
http://www.townhall.com.
Mention it at church. Please continue to refer family and friends
to our website, www.childprotectionprogram.org, for updates on this ongoing campaign.
No more can any of us be parties to the sexual victimization of
young boys that we believe Amazon.com is responsible for. Most importantly,
call in to your favorite conservative or Christian talk shows and
ask the hosts to visit the toysrus.com site and see the search results
for themselves.
