Dear Reader,

Thank you for caring enough about our children to read this publication. You will find it time well spent. There are answers to the questions surrounding child abuse.

According to the most conservative of research, one out of four children is a victim of sexual abuse. Many, without proper intervention, will be emotionally crippled for the rest of their lives.

Clearly it is time to stop this madness. Yet the experts tell us that there are no answers - that both available "therapy" and our criminal justice systems are failing to slow the shocking growth of child abuse.

Is it true that nothing can be done? That there is no hope? We don't think so. This is why we have provided you with a copy of our Child Protection Guide. We believe there are answers, both long term solutions affecting our entire culture, and short term preventive steps you can take to protect your child - TODAY.

Over three and a half million copies of the Child Protection Guide have been distributed. Many local businesses and individuals have donated to help cover the costs of production, printing and distribution. To each of you let us again say thank you. Here is the fruit of your labor. We hope you are as proud of this as we are.

This publication was written for adults and parents. The purpose is to make them better able to protect our children. Although nothing in this Guide is overly blatant or graphic it still contains specific examples and details that may not be appropriate for children to read.

We hope this makes a real contribution to your children and to your peace of mind. If it does, you may want to share copies with your friends.

Healing is possible for victims to become survivors. There is hope. Together we can make a difference. Join with us in a worthy effort to make our children safe.

For the Children,
 Jim Hughes
